In case of sudden illness or a sudden deterioration of health, a patient can seek help at any night and holiday healthcare point, regardless of where they live or to which primary healthcare (POZ) doctor/nurse they have registered.

POZ

The primary health care clinic is the place where patients with health issues most often go. It is here that the first diagnosis occurs. The clinic's responsibilities include, among others: ordering diagnostic tests, establishing treatment, and referring patients to other specialist clinics that require a referral. Primary care doctors are also obliged to educate patients about disease prevention, including lung diseases, cardiovascular issues, and diabetes, and they promote a healthy lifestyle.

Neurology

Specialized neurological staff deals with the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, diseases of the central nervous system, and the consequences of head, neck, trunk, and limb injuries. The clinic offers the possibility of performing specialized tests such as computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging. These are conducted at the request of a physician in specialized hospital centers.

Cardiology

A referral from a family doctor or another specialist is required for a patient to be admitted to the Geriatric Clinic. For the first visit, it is necessary to bring information about the previous course of treatment.

Diabetology

Diabetology is a medical discipline that deals with the treatment of diabetes and the complications caused by this disease.

A doctor who specializes in this field is called a diabetologist.

When should you see a diabetologist? Diabetes should not be underestimated. After observing the first symptoms, it is not worth waiting; you should simply contact a specialist. Of course, not all diabetes is the same, which is why one should not panic upon diagnosis.
